I Can See Great Things For CAGES!
08/14/04
As a member of the Broadcast Films Critics Association, and the nation’s only blind movie critic, I’m always looking (so to speak) for films with an intriguing story.
When Graham stumbled across my website, blindsidereviews.com (I’m the one that usually does the stumbling), and emailed me regarding his new movie CAGES, I was interested. We spoke on the phone and I asked him what I could do to help bring this superb story to the rest of the country. I was impressed with the script, and Graham’s choice to fill the role of a blind boy with a visually impaired actor. What a novel idea! Why has no one else thought of that?
He also told me he planned to have Jessica Callahan, a visually impaired singer contribute on the soundtrack. When I listened to one of Jessica’s songs I was unable to turn it off. She was fantastic! I listened to the song over and over for a half hour! I’m spreading the word about CAGES, and have discussed the film with another member of the BFCA who is now interested in the production.
I can’t wait to experience the finished product and I can see great things for CAGES in the future.
